The Sìjúwàdé Pants are crafted from aso oke and named in honour of Oba Okunade Sijuwade (Olúbùse II), the late ooni of Ife, inspired by his love for fashion, elegance, and the dignity with which he carried power. This piece is an imaginative reflection of the wisdom, presence, and influence he embodied.

Designed with intention and mystery, the Sìjúwàdé Pants feature deep, seemingly endless pockets, intricate cut-outs, and layered patterns that reveal themselves slowly. The construction invites curiosity, holding meaning in its details rather than explaining everything at once.

A string detail running along the side of the leg symbolises the act of holding land together, a quiet reference to unity, responsibility, and guardianship. The trousers are finished with a double waistband: one band made from striped fabric carrying the Móye tag, and a second soft cotton batik waistband with elastic and adjustable drawstrings for comfort and flexibility.
