The Irawo Pants are constructed from a curated mix of vintage aso oke fabrics sourced from different parts of South-West Nigeria, paired with a bold cotton batik upper panel. The two textile traditions sit in deliberate contrast — the graphic, painterly batik print crowning the garment at the hip, giving way to the structured striped weaves and patchwork aso oke panels that carry the leg from hip to floor.
Each aso oke strip carries its own weave, rhythm, and texture, pieced together across the full length of the leg in a composition that is both considered and alive. A brand label is stitched neatly at the waistband, a quiet mark of authorship on an otherwise wholly expressive garment.
The silhouette is wide and sweeping. Viewed from the front, the Irawo Pants fall broad and straight to the ankle with large patch pockets sitting prominently on each leg, themselves constructed from contrasting aso oke panels. Viewed from the side, the full scale of the garment reveals itself — the fabric moving and opening with extraordinary volume, sweeping outward almost like a skirt in motion, catching air and light with every step.
The waistband is elasticated with an adjustable drawstring tied at the front, sitting comfortably on the body while allowing the full weight and volume of the trouser to hang and move freely below.
